Special Exhibitions
This exhibition is held in the Special Exhibition Gallery on the 1st floor and focuses mainly on themes related to the history and culture of Edo-Tokyo.
Feature Exhibitions
This exhibition mainly explores themes related to our permanent exhibition. It is held in the Feature Exhibition Gallery within the Permanent Exhibition Hall on the 5th floor.

Themed Exhibition
This exhibition temporarily displays objects from our collections, focusing on a particular theme.
It will occasionally be displayed in part of the permanent exhibition rooms on the 5th and 6th floors.

Off-site Exhibitions
The Edo-Tokyo Museum holds Off-site Exhibitions at other museums or cultural facilities.
Permanent Exhibition
The spacious permanent exhibition hall, covering approximately 9,000 square meters, spans the 5th and 6th floors. It is divided into three sections: the Edo Zone, the Tokyo Zone, and the Feature Exhibition Gallery. The permanent exhibition displays full-scale reconstructions based on thorough research, detailed scale models that recreate historic cityscapes, and everyday objects once used by people in the past. Visitors can explore, learn about, and experience the city and culture of Edo-Tokyo and the daily lives of its people.
